Graduate FPGA Designer
Design, implement, and test FPGA/ASIC for high speed networking applications. Duties consist of working with systems engineers to understand feature requirements, simulating solutions in analysis tools, coding HDL for Xilinx, Altera FPGA and ASIC targets, verifying timing and routing constraints, bringing up initial prototypes, testing at the subsystem level, integrating FPGA builds with hardware and software, debugging end-to-end implementations across functional teams, and writing detailed design documentation.
Job Requirements
Essential
- A degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline.
- Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Altera tool chains and with latest generation FPGAs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, and interact with systems engineers, and software developers.
- You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired
Prior experience coding and debugging VHDL. Exposure to telecoms or data protocols is desirable. PERL/TCL/Verilog experience would be beneficial. Excellent problem solving abilities are key.
